Weird Beck Movie Called Sou...

Weird Beck Movie Called Southlander: Our neighborhood songwursday. From Beck's website:

The film, directed by ye olde Beck video director Steve Hanft was filmed in 1999 & 2000 and follows the journeys of a struggling musician making his way through Los Angeles trying to find his stolen keyboard. Beck plays a past version of himself from the early 90's and has two musical sequences in the film. The film also stars Beth Orton, Rory Cochrane (Dazed and Confused, CSI: Miami), Ross Harris (Sukia, DJ Me DJ You), Hank Williams III, and Laura Prepon.
And the DVD is coming out any day now. Here's some more info. Oh, and here's a Beck journal entry from Austria:
backstage they had fresh made strudel for us. metallica practiced in their dressing room next to us doing letter a perfect version of flying high again. a journalist asked me if sea change was a penance for making midnite v. a baby gave me a balloon. a truck driver cried in his sleep. a ferret twittered to his own self.

This. Movie. Rocks. Got to see it a couple of years ago during South-By and was blown away. It is really entertaining. Glad to see it is out on DVD!
