Cheap, Funny Stuff From New...

Cheap, Funny Stuff From New L.A. Magazine: I can second that business about the Albertson's, and only disagree with the diss on Sandra Tsing Loh. Favorite line, maybe:

WORST RESTAURANT
Cha Cha Cha
Angelenos flock to Cha Cha Cha for the same reason they pick up the LA Weekly: because they don't know they don't have to.

Most of the Worst of L.A. entries were funny. The one about Sandra was stupid and clueless. But after reading it, and checking the list of L.A. Innuendo contributors, I believe I have a good idea who wrote the stupid and clueless things about Buzz's female columnists a few months ago. Memo to that person's ass: You have an appointment with my foot.

I kind of liked the Tsing Loh thing. I always wondered if anyone else wondered why the hell that was on the air. Maybe if you 2 weren't personal friends with her you might see how annoying she is. Or maybe I'm just an ass.

I'm not a friend ... because she hates me. Just kidding, S-Ts-Lo! We've only met once or twice. I just like her radio stuff, and found the Van Nuys book amusing.

I generally have more disagreements with "Best" lists than this "Worst" one. I mean, I actually like Cha Cha Cha, swarthy flirtatious waiters and all.
There's more funny stuff in Innuendo, however, including a Winnie Holzman piece on having her hair relaxed and a bit on pitching recent news stories (Algerian earthquake, Jayson Blair) to studio execs.

Disclaimer: I've never met Sandra Tsing-Loh, but did once see her eating alone at the Pig on La Brea.
Disclaimer #2: I design & illustrate for Innuendo.
