and made Dershowitz look like an idiot to boot. Alan Barra has a nice rundown on Slate.

"Just wondering -- When did this site become a baseball blog?"

Matt, have you ever thought about starting a separate baseball blog? As a relatively new political and baseball blogger, I've kicked that idea around myself, since I know that some of my baseball readers get turned off by my political commentaries and my political readers could care less about my baseball research (though I can't complain with how your site's currently set up, since I like both the politics and the baseball).

And how about that Rickey Henderson, huh? The Dodgers still stink but he sure brings a lot of excitement to the game -- and a nice little .600+ SLG for the time being.

Robert -- Nah, I've got too many damned blogs I'm supposed to be contributing to already. But I *am* thinking about creating a workaround url thingie, so that you don't have to type in the word "warblog" to get here ... but that would require a level of competence that I am not currently within screaming distance of....

I don't know about you, but I'm bored stiff by 99% of single-issue blogs. Yeah, the Crisis is Continuing or whatever, but ... well, there's more to life. Give me a weirdo eclectic smart freaker like Doktor Frank or Tony Pierce any damned day.

Matt: I'm with you on the single-issue format. And with all those blogs, no wonder it's a reverse Cucumber Season effect!
