I don't understand why there are not more motorcycles riders in LA. Lane splitting is allowed here, isn't it ?
PS : Spurs gooooo ! The lakers should hire Tony Parker ....

No French gloating, dammit!! Motorcyclists do indeed do the lane-split here, and it's a wonder that they don't die at a rate of 10 a day, given the cellphone-to-SUV ratio.

You've lived in Southern California this long, and you're only now realizing that commuting sucks? Lord, I thought everyone knew that unless you lived there or were going to hook up with someone at the Westwood Brewing Company, never drive through Westwood at any time of day. You think Sunset is bad, try to get anywhere on Wilshire twixt 3 and 7. If you need to get from that area to home (or the Rustic Inn), take the 10 and get off at La Brea or Crenshaw; the mileage is longer, but the traffic is more predictable, and you'll shave a half hour off your drive. If you had done that last night, you would have been home in plenty of time to see Horry perform his magic.

Go Ducks !!!

Get out your Thomas Guide. Depending upon where you are when you get stuck on Sunset, you can cut north and take a circuitous, but somewhat parallel route through Bel Air and save a lot of time. Good luck!

RR -- Well, I actually don't have to take Sunset at all on my daily commute (apart from beginning the trek on Sunset Drive); it was a special occasion which forced me into the top of Beverly Hills at 7:30; a no-win situation, at least until the free booze starts flowing.
