The NY Times' Steve Lohr Takes a Swipe at New Media:
[T]wo things succeed commercially on the World Wide Web: searching (like Google and Yahoo) and shopping (like Amazon.com and eBay). Then J.D. Lasica gets all up in Lohr's shit. Posted by at May 12, 2003 06:19 PMIs that what the digital revolution has come to?
Lohr also made some broad generalizations about the internet boom that were just wrong, particularly when he implied that just as of late people had figured out that the internet was good for e-commerce and not media (if that's so, where is Pets.com, and how come blogger is chugging alone). The whole piece read like an attempt at self-fulfilling prophesy; "If I write, it will be true."

I know: "Digital Media Slowly Filling Underserved Niches" Oh, wait, that one doesn't have an exclaimation mark. Never mind.
