Well, the Ben Affleck Tapin...

Well, the Ben Affleck Taping Was Very Interesting: And much more enjoyable, in some ways at least, than I would have ever thought. I'll still probably look like an el-supremo jackass, but at least it seems they haven't singled me out for punishment, which is encouraging. Plus, since the day started (and ended) late, that $100 turned into $1-4-2. Cash. I felt like a king waiting for the midnight bus on Sunset and Vine, as one of the worst-looking pimps in history peddled one of the worst-looking prostitutes five paces to my left, and a young couple screamed wounded obscenities at each other five paces to my right. I'm too tired to write about it much, and I'll definitely do something for publication somewhere, but there were many unforeseen punchlines, including A) quite a few people there, including some of my fellow semi-finalist Afflecks, were convinced that your humble blondish beer-bellied blogger was the deadest ringer for the man; and B) a very interesting woman who serves as an agent for Hollywood look-alikes (don't laugh! It's a big business!) tried to convince me that I have the makings for a second career. What a funny, funny day.

Now that you're on your way to becoming an actor, you'll have to start talking about your first amendment rights and the silencing of dissent when anyone dares to criticize anything you write here!

No!

You look like Gary Busey as Buddy Holly. Post that pic I sent and let your readers decide.

Matt, in every pic I've seen you look like B.Lo. Accept it, jump into that sideline career, and enjoy yourself!

All I know about Affleck is that he did an embarrassing scene involving animal crackers in a giant killer asteroid movie. So I went looking for pictures of him, and I must say that this one looks like the one of Matt in the hat.

Just think, Matt boy, if you're successful you can ditch that degrading writing business for a lucrative career of lying around in plaid swim trunks, making hand motions as if you wish to play with the three or four pairs of tube socks stuffed therein. Is there homoerotic subtext in that picture? Don't ask me.

Did they play "I'm Too Sexy"?

Treach -- No! Dammit.... But the audience was filled with *real* celebrity look-alikes ... you know, the freaks from Hollywood Blvd., and the casino rent-a-Whoopis ... and before the taping they were all singing and freaking. My favorite bit might have been the fake Ben Franklin singing Michael Jackson's "Ben" ....
