Akbar and Saudi Money: The National Review's Joel Mowbray, who has been hammering away at the distorted and dangerous U.S.-Saudi relationship, details the Saudi financing of institutions and people who influenced Asan Akbar, the grenade-chucking U.S. Army sergeant charged with murdering two of his comrades. It's not some kind of prince-paid-for-murder kinda deal, but rather an interesting look at how much of an American muslim's spiritual life can be affected by Saudi Arabia's largesse.
