I probably haven't seen enough movies to make an informed top five, but I feel I should mention 3 anyway:

Spirited Away
The Two Towers
Minority Report

'Dogtown and the Z-boys' was fantastic upon first viewing. However, when I revisited it via DVD, I found the movie to be much too self-congratulatory and immature.

It was too sad to see a grown-man like Wentzle Ruml, in essence, verbally masturbate himself when talking about the rampant localism.

And yet, no film located in Los Angeles has ever won a best film Oscar.
