Arab News Editor John Bradl...

Arab News Editor John Bradley Goes Toe-to-Toe With Charles Johnson and LGF Readers: Interesting reading, though it remains to be seen whether Nick Denton's November hopes will be fulfilled.

We're not going to get any satisfaction from Bradley, I'm afraid. He's a sophist. He avoids answering substantive questions as long as possible, tosses out dozens of red herrings to throw us off the scent of the argument, and finally, when push comes to shove, just lies. No one on the Arab News is anti-Jewish? Please.

If you're going to claim to be engaged in honest inquiry, you've got to do better than that. It's kind of fun, though, this little exchange.

But, as a professional philosopher, sophists are my sworn enemy and I must fight the infidel to the death!

Hi Daniel! Hey, have you read Chomsky much? Being crudely educated (especially in philosophy) I'd be curious to hear your take on Chomsky's SQ (Sophist Quotient), if indeed he has any, as I suspect.

Don't read Chomsky anymore, for just that reason -- except for that great email exchange on the "reality daytrips" blog: http://www.realitydaytrips.com/

I've seen the movie, though (Manufacturing Consent), and read some of his stuff on 9/11. He definitely pins the needle as far as sophistry quotient goes. Sure, there's Michael Moore and Stanley Fish (who actually admits it), but Chomsky seems to be in another league. The Semi-Delusional League (Leftist Division).
