MATT WELCH

Ralph Nader's 2000 Campaign

After the Democratic Convention in L.A., my editors at NewsForChange.com decided on a whim to cover Nader's Quixotic presidential campaign. To our shock, we were basically alone. I spent the last two months of the campaign following the candidate around the western half of the country, then flew to D.C. for the final, er, mugging. Other columns and articles referring to Nader can be found here.
